Research Advisory Panel

The role of the Research Advisory Panel is to oversee the operation of the AV Research Strategy.
The Panel will:
- recommend to the Board which grant submissions will be funded under the AV Research Grants Program.
- advise the Board through recommendations and suggestions regarding appropriate strategies for building capacity for research and innovations.
- assist the Board in monitoring AV's Research Strategy.
In meeting its responsibilities, the Research Advisory Panel will:
- Maintain oversight of AV Research Grants Program and provide advice to the Board regarding its ongoing operation and management.
- Provide advise to the Board regarding opportunities for building capacity for research and innovation.
- Recommend to the Board which research proposals to fund.
- Document and report to the Board all decisions or recommendations, including the Panel's principle reasons for funding/not funding applications.
- Consider progress reports for projects previously funded by an AV Research Program grant.
- Review annual reports from investigators of the results of ongoing and completed projects (including publications arising), and arrange for extraordinary review when appropriate.
- Receive regular reports on the implementation of AV's Research Strategy.
